2023 PROPHETIC WORD OF THE LORD

The 2023 Prophetic Word of the Lord

THE TIME OF DELIBERATE RESTORATION

What Should the Church Expect to See in 2023….

This is a time and season of rebuilding and deliberate restoration, all of which will bring Kingdom increase and fortifications against the wiles of the devil. As this is a time of advancements in the systems of the world and scientific breakthroughs, so will there be thriving and amazing breakthroughs in the Kingdom of God.

As in the days of Nehemiah, God will supernaturally supply provisions and people for rebuilding visions and restoring spiritual gifts that will thrive and elevate the Kingdom of God and His causes. Though the adversarial weapons may arise, and they may plot to stop us, it will not prosper, for He has given the people a mind to work and the discipline to thrive and to finish!

God is empowering the unsuspecting believers to do the extraordinary in the Kingdom, so don’t join the ranks of the critics but cover them with prayer. Stand firm against the coming escalation of moral perversions that are targeted at the youth of our generation, and do not compromise the Gospel message, but stand strong on His word; you have nothing to fear.

Worldly educational systems are being used to corrupt the moral foundations of the nation; the church must aggressively rescue this generation from the clutches of the enemy through intercessory prayer and intentional ministry.                           Remember, the Word of God is powerful and prevails over all. It is a time for rebuilding ministry and the restoration of the Scriptural ministry of compassion and power. This is a time for faith and the spiritual gifts lying dormant to thrive in your life with breakthrough manifestations according to compassionate faith.     The things that divided the church will be set aside, and because of intercessions, this will be a time of great reconciliations of fractured relationships, and the spirit of unity will be restored. There will be a restoration of Kingdom support, as is in former years, as the message of seed time and harvest will be embraced by more and more as it is boldly taught by more and more across denominational lines with minimum resistance.

Be cautious and carefully investigate business opportunities involving the church; many will be pitfalls to ensnare and distract from purpose. The proven plan for Kingdom support will work, so don’t get too close to the edge, compromising the order of God.

What We Will See in the Nation…

This is a time when the nation is being judged for its lack of respect for the order of God for mankind, the erosion of the moral foundations upon which the nation was built, and the tolerance of social perversions has become a stench in the nostrils of God.

There must be great intercession for the mercies of God, along with bold teaching of the Word of God to bring deliverance and to stave off the judgments of God.                                                                                        The church must resist the wave of tolerance of sin, seeking acceptance of the world, if not the church will lose its distinctiveness and its power. This is the time to use all means of mass communication thriving to get the message of faith, grace, and righteousness to the world.

The present war will continue to intensify and will be placed on the back burner as some nations of the world grow weary and become numb to the increased reports of death and destruction. Though the battlefields are far away, do not become insensitive to the increased reports of death and destruction, the believers in the nation under attack are depending on your prayers and influence. There will be the death of a key leader that will impact the war but will not end it. Russia will be bold enough to test the resolve of the supporting nations.

There will continue to be a healing of the economy, and the people of God will experience financial success because God continues to honor His promises of increase.

What We Can Expect …

God has strategically placed His churches in communities to be light and salt to them. Crime and violence will continue to flourish, for which the civil government will have no effective answer. Fear not…Fear not… but choose to put your faith and trust in God’s provision and promised protection.

The church leaders will be summoned to help resolve community crisis issues, and those who respond with Kingdom authority over evil will see arrest rates decrease, violence rates decrease, and crime rates decrease. God will show Himself strong to validate who He is when those in civil authority request divine help through the church.
Expect their calls and invitations and welcome this partnership, and in so doing, their efforts and planned strategies will be more successful than ever.

Believe this to be your greatest time of peace and prosperity and expect to experience breakthrough favor to abound toward you, and increase will occur far beyond what you have planned or imagined.

Pray for those who God is speaking to concerning using their power and ability to help you to do so speedily without hesitation or procrastination.

Believe for Favor and Expect it! There must be the deliberate restoration of radical faith-filled Worship followed by significant manifestations that will be a magnet to those who are thriving for next-level experiences with God.

Carve out special times of Prayer, Worship, and Teaching to quench the rising thirst for spiritual encounters with God. These may begin small but have a rolling snowball effect with increased attendance and virtual participation. Do not despise the day of small beginnings!

Bold Obedience is the currency to thrive for the miraculous 2023 success! God declares doors of amazing opportunities are opening for the faithful throughout the year, so be alert because He confirms His Word with signs following, using amazing favor to bring His will to pass!

If He said it, He will make it good in ways that will amaze you. So, rejoice and know that you are on the mind of God; He knows you individually, and His plan to Protect you, to Provide for you, and to Prosper you, will not fail! He that hath ears to hear, let him hear!

LIVING AND WALKING BY FAITH

Living and Walking by Faith

“Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law.” Romans 3:31

As a Christian, we should want to do good and live a righteous life. Even though we have the salvation of Christ and the freedom it brings, his love and grace should drive us to live a life living and walking in the Lord. Romans 3:31 says, “Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law.”

Righteous living can be difficult; however, the Lord can motivate us toward that kind of life. Living and Walking by faith means living a righteous life. Our love for the Lord and His Word points us toward our faith. When my son first came to know the Lord, not much changed. However, soon his behavior and attitude began to change. He began to want to serve the Lord. That is what living and walking by faith does. It leads us to the Lord and brings joy to our lives.

Are you pursuing the Lord?

Spend some time in prayer today and ask God to continue to draw you into a relationship with Him so you will want to serve Him.

REDEFINING LEGACY

RESEARCH SHOWS AFFLUENT BLACK/AFRICAN AMERICANS ARE FOCUSED ON REDEFINING LEGACY AND THE NEXT GENERATION

by Black Enterprise Editors (Sponsored by Merrill)  Jan. 10, 2022

While many Black/African American families have traditionally etched their name in history through hard work and service, the younger generation are taking their goals a step further. Research published in 2021 from Merrill titled, Diverse Viewpoints: Exploring Wealth in the Black/African American Community, found that we are redefining our legacy.

Merrill’s research acknowledges a shift in attitudes among affluent Black/African Americans, from not talking about or planning for legacy building to passing down inheritances and values to further generational wealth. “In the history of my family, and the histories of many Black families, we haven’t had the opportunities to truly accumulate wealth until very recently,” said Doug, a professor quoted in the study. “This is our moment. Now, standing on the shoulders of [my ancestors] who came before me, I am in a position to build a new legacy for my family.”

The study, which includes insights from those earning over $125,000 per year, compares financial habits and beliefs of affluent Black/African Americans with those of the general population. A higher percentage of Black/African Americans are more likely to be motivated by a desire for personal achievement and the ability to give back to their community, according to the report, than the general population.

In an interview with Black Enterprise, entrepreneur Adenah Bayoh, who owns seven restaurants and a multimillion-dollar portfolio of real estate projects, said, “I want to leave my mark. I want to have an impact on this world. I want to make the landscape a little easier for the next generation of entrepreneurs. That is the driving force.” She shares her wealth-building journey in Black Enterprise’s new video series, Legacy Starts with Me.

“The person that has had the biggest influence of my existence was my grandmother,” Bayoh continued. “My grandmother made sure at a very early age I was fully integrated into what she was doing. There is a legacy there that I want to continue with my children. But most importantly, I am continuing my grandmother’s legacy of hard work, love, and community.”

The drive to create intergenerational wealth is one that’s becoming more visible. More than one out of five (21%) of affluent Black/African Americans have built-in inheritance and passing down wealth into their financial plan.

Many affluent Black/African Americans value opportunities to learn from others who have achieved the success they want to achieve. Merrill’s report shows they are twice as likely to have financial role models and four times more likely to look up to business and community figures/organizations as financial role models than affluent individuals of the general population.

“When I was growing up, my family would sometimes go to visit our grandparents for the weekend. My parents were successful businesspeople, but my grandparents’ homes were a different story. They still live in the tiny house where they raised five kids, including my dad, in a very different neighborhood than where we grew up. I was always struck by how they showed so much progress in so few generations,” said Benjamin, a 42-year-old technology consultant and study participant.

The legacy and lessons taught by previous generations is making an impact. This could be part of the reason affluent Black/African American millennials are more likely to describe themselves as financially savvy (37% of those ages 20-34 and 33% of those ages 35-54) compared to those that are 55 and over (28%)—a big shift in just two generations.

“My grandparents always pressed on the importance of hard work and education—how that was something no one could take away from you,” Benjamin continued. “I take those values from my grandparents and parents, and I now always try to teach my own 8-year-old daughter to understand why work and money are important.”

Passing on values, in addition to wealth, is one of the ways our community is reinterpreting the idea of legacy. Using the inspiration and resources around us to help improve our families’ financial lives, we’re being intentional about building intergenerational wealth and becoming role models for the community.

THIS IS GLOBAL WARFARE COVID-19

THIS IS A GLOBAL WARFARE
Coronaviruses are a type of virus. There are many different kinds, and some cause disease. A coronavirus identified in 2019, SARS-CoV-2, has caused a pandemic of respiratory illness, called COVID-19.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

COVID-19

  • COVID-19 is the disease caused by SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that emerged in December 2019.
  • COVID-19 can be severe, and has caused millions of deaths around the world as well as lasting health problems in              some who have survived the illness.
  • The coronavirus can be spread from person to person. It is diagnosed with a laboratory test.
  • COVID-19 vaccines have been authorized for emergency use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and                            vaccination  programs are in progress across the U.S. and in many parts of the world.
  • Prevention involves physical distancing, mask-wearing, hand hygiene and staying away from others if you feel sick.

Lauren Sauer, M.S., director of operations for the Johns Hopkins Office of Critical Event Preparedness and Response and director of research with the Johns Hopkins Biocontainment Unit, shares information about COVID-19 and what you need to know.

How does the coronavirus spread?

As of now, researchers know that the coronavirus is spread through droplets and virus particles released into the air when an infected person breathes, talks, laughs, sings, coughs or sneezes. Larger droplets may fall to the ground in a few seconds, but tiny infectious particles can linger in the air and accumulate in indoor places, especially where many people are gathered and there is poor ventilation. This is why mask-wearing, hand hygiene and physical distancing are essential to preventing COVID-19.

How did the coronavirus start?

The first case of COVID-19 was reported Dec. 1, 2019, and the cause was a then-new coronavirus later named SARS-CoV-2. SARS-CoV-2 may have originated in an animal and changed (mutated) so it could cause illness in humans. In the past, several infectious disease outbreaks have been traced to viruses originating in birds, pigs, bats and other animals that mutated to become dangerous to humans. Research continues, and more study may reveal how and why the coronavirus evolved to cause pandemic disease.

What is the incubation period for COVID-19?

Symptoms show up in people within two to 14 days of exposure to the virus. A person infected with the coronavirus is contagious to others for up to two days before symptoms appear, and they remain contagious to others for 10 to 20 days, depending upon their immune system and the severity of their illness.

What have you learned about coronavirus in the last six months as of this writing?

Infectious disease expert Lisa Maragakis explains the advances in COVID-19 treatments and how knowledge of COVID-19 can assist in preventing further spread of the virus.

What are symptoms of coronavirus?

COVID-19 symptoms include:

  • Cough
  • Fever or chills
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Diarrhea
  • Headache
  • New fatigue
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Congestion or runny nose

Some people infected with the coronavirus have mild COVID-19 illness, and others have no symptoms at all. In some cases, however, COVID-19 can lead to respiratory failure, lasting lung and heart muscle damagenervous system problemskidney failure or death.

If you have a fever or any of the symptoms listed above, call your doctor or a health care provider and explain your symptoms over the phone before going to the doctor’s office, urgent care facility or emergency room. Here are suggestions if you feel sick and are concerned you might have COVID-19.

CALL 911 if you have a medical emergency such as severe shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.

What Is Coronavirus?

How is COVID-19 diagnosed?

COVID-19 is diagnosed through a laboratory test. Diagnosis by examination alone is difficult since many COVID-19 signs and symptoms can be caused by other illnesses. Some people with the coronavirus do not have symptoms at all. Learn more about COVID-19 testing.

How is COVID-19 treated?

Treatment for COVID-19 addresses the signs and symptoms of the infection and supports people with more severe disease. For mild cases of coronavirus disease, your doctor may recommend measures such as fever reducers or over-the-counter medications. More severe cases may require hospital care, where a patient may receive a combination of treatments that could include steroids, oxygen, mechanical breathing support and other COVID-19 treatments in development. Infusions of monoclonal antibodies given to certain patients early in the infection may reduce the symptoms, severity and duration of the illness.

How do you protect yourself from this coronavirus?

Vaccines are now authorized to prevent infection with SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19. But until more is understood about how the vaccines affect a person’s ability to transmit the virus, precautions such as mask-wearing, physical distancing and hand hygiene should continue regardless of a person’s vaccination status to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Learn more about the COVID-19 vaccine and ways to protect yourself.

Does COVID-19 cause death?

Yes, severe COVID-19 can be fatal. For updates of coronavirus infections, deaths and vaccinations worldwide, see the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases map developed by the Johns Hopkins Center for Systems Science and Engineering.Coronavirus Self-Checker and COVID-19 Vaccine FAQ

Check symptoms. Get vaccine information. Protect yourself and others.

Why is it called coronavirus?

Coronaviruses are named for their appearance: “corona” means “crown.” The virus’s outer layers are covered with spike proteins that surround them like a crown.

Is this coronavirus different from SARS?

SARS stands for severe acute respiratory syndrome. In 2003, an outbreak of SARS affected people in several countries before ending in 2004. The coronavirus that causes COVID-19 is similar to the one that caused the 2003 SARS outbreak.

Since the 2019 coronavirus is related to the original coronavirus that caused SARS and can also cause severe acute respiratory syndrome, there is “SARS” in its name: SARS-CoV-2. Much is still unknown about these viruses, but SARS-CoV-2 spreads faster and farther than the 2003 SARS-CoV-1 virus. This is likely because of how easily it is transmitted person to person, even from asymptomatic carriers of the virus.

Are there different variants of this coronavirus?

Yes, there are different variants of this coronavirus. Like other viruses, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 can change (mutate). In December 2020, B.1.1.7, a new variant, was identified in the United Kingdom, and since then, variants have appeared in other locations around the world, including B.1.351, first isolated in South Africa, and others. Mutations may enable the coronavirus to spread faster from person to person, and may cause more severe disease. More infections can result in more people getting very sick and also create more opportunity for the virus to develop further mutations. Read more about coronavirus variants.

Coronavirus: What do I do if I Feel Sick?

If you are concerned that you may have COVID-19, follow these steps to help protect your health and the health of others.

About Coronaviruses

  • Coronaviruses are common in different animals. Rarely, an animal coronavirus can infect humans.
  • There are many different kinds of coronaviruses. Some of them can cause colds or other mild respiratory (nose,                 throat, lung) illnesses.
  • Other coronaviruses can cause serious diseases, including severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and Middle East       respiratory syndrome (MERS).

Barriers and Limitations

What is a Barrier and What is a Limitation?
A barrier and a limitation though physical is a mental obstruction of intimidating thoughts that work to paralyze the imagination , shut down the creative process; cancel the will to press forward and accept the present state of the climax of what is possible. In other words, it is a mental stronghold that is spoken of in Scripture.

“(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds) casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”  2 Corinthians 10:4-5. KJV

YES!  Ultimately the devil exploits us through perceived barriers (understanding) and limitations to hold people back! He uses perceived barriers (understanding more or less), setbacks, and shortcomings to steal your passion to experience God’s best in your life. There is a place in God where He wants you and barriers and limitations will discouraged your passion for pursuing it.  Let’s uncover the truth about the enemy strategy, the enemy will try and use policy barriers and criteria limitations. (for exapple  credit score, education, age and race as well as others alike. Barriers are obvious Scriptural contradictions that must be challenged.

BARRIERS LIKE SPORTS RECORDS ARE MADE TO BE BROKEN

Did you know that once a barrier is broken it becomes easier and easier to exceed the barrier again and again?  The four minute mile was thought to stand forever until 1954 when Roger Barnsister broke in in .06 seconds. Since then it has been broken by many male atheletes. It has been lowered by almost 17 seconds in the last 50 years. Nos the time is 3:43.13. WoW! When you choose to press beyond the barriers you open up the way for others.

Here is the truth that must be told. Barriers and Limitations will never comproise our potential unless we allow them. Think about it, the speed limit signs does not negate the automobile capacity to exceed it. The only thing that keeps the vehicle from breaking the speed limit is the willingness of the driver to respect the limit and not the powerful engine that is in the vehicle. So it is with perceived limitations we respect,,, they have nothing to do with our potential ability  to overcome them.
Remember the words of the Apostle Paul

“I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHICK STRENGTHENS ME.”
Philippians 4:13KJV

AMERICA

AMERICA:    I Can’t Breathe

The Racist Attack on Our Nation’s Capitol

As I watch the unimaginable scenes from our nation’s capital, where our entire Congress was held hostage by the actions of a deluded and deranged mob, I NOTICED A LOT OF US AND I are filled with anger.

Righteous anger. Because while what we were watching was horrifying, it is not surprising. The clarion cry of one George Floyd was “I Can’t Breathe.” God was not pleased then

Now those in authority that did not hear him may hear him now at the expense of those who may have heard him yet were silent. To have somebody with their knee on your neck but in this case you run for your life from  Molotov cocktail and guns and you are being stormed and forced to hide under desk causes you not to breathe.,..

This is the inevitable result of:

  • Four years of lies from President Donald Trump.                                                                                       Now you can’t breathe America. Yet God is not pleased
  • Four years of the president demonizing his opponents.                                                                             Now you can’t breathe America. Yet God is not pleased
  • Four years of unaccountable abuses of power.                                                                                         Now you can’t breathe America. Yet God is not pleased
  • Four years of reckless rhetoric and thinly veiled threats of violence.                                             Now you can’t breathe America. Yet God is not pleased
  • Four years of stoking of white racial resentment, anxiety and fear.                                                 Now you can’t breathe America. Yet God is not pleased

Of naked appeals to his thugs and inciting Proud Boy gangs to “stand by.”                                  Now you can’t breathe America & God is not Pleased

And of repeated refusals on his part to promise a peaceful transfer of power.                             Now you can’t breathe America & God is not Pleased

Make no mistake, this is the only place that the presidency of Donald Trump could lead: a violent assault upon the nation’s democracy. Donald Trump has always been for Donald Trump and NO ONE ELSE & God is not Pleased

What we saw Wednesday is a clear declaration that many white people would rather live in a white dictatorship than in a multiracial democracy.

We cannot seem surprise, because for years, the core of Mr. Trump’s appeal has been stoking white resentment at the changing face of America. What we saw Wednesday is a clear declaration that many white people would rather live in a white dictatorship than in a multiracial democracy. If democracy means sharing power with people of color, especially Black people, then they want no part of it. Wednesday is the inevitable consequence of the nation’s tolerance of white racism.

But Trump is not solely responsible for this debacle. Here is where the wisdom of the Catholic moral tradition is achingly relevant. Thomas Aquinas teaches that one shares in the evil of another “by omitting the counsel that would have hindered the wrongdoing” and by “silence, by not preventing, by not denouncing.”

After the storming of the Capitol: We need

What we witnessed in Washington is a direct consequence of four years of enabling

  • complicity, being involved with others in an illegal activity or wrongdoing
  • cynical appeasement believing that people are motivated by self-interest; distrustful of human sincerity or integrity. Just giving people what they want to prevent them from harming you or being angry with you

synonyms:

bitter · resentful · soured · distorted · disenchanted · disillusioned · disappointed · pessimistic · skeptical · distrustful · suspicious · misanthropic · jealous · envious · narrow-minded · bigoted · prejudiced · intolerant · discriminatory.

  • cowardly silence.

It is the consequence of those who knew that the president is grossly incompetent for the office, but said nothing. It is the result of those who repeated his lies about a stolen election to curry short-term favor. It is the consequence of political leaders who refused to confront his unprecedented destruction of democratic norms out of fear of a presidential tweet.

It is also the consequence of the complicit silence and active support of religious leaders who refused to confront the cancer of white nationalism that this president endorses and who excused all manner of his wrongdoing, incompetence and brutality by saying these were not the “pre-eminent evil”

It is a direct consequence of four years of enabling complicity, cynical appeasement and cowardly silence.

, “Truth is the mother, basis, and foundation of justice.” What we saw Wednesday is the consequence when truth is ignored, trampled and dismissed. And when lies are repeated, winked at or cynically embraced. We cannot have justice when charade passes for reality, when racist delusion is passed by in silence, when political cynicism passes for public service.

The fundamental question confronting the nation is: Will we strive to be a nation of liberty and justice for all? Or only for some? For those who are white and angry? For those who look like and pray like us? Until we face those questions, we dare not act surprised by the horror that we saw at the Capitol today. Or when it happens again.

  • Can you claim to walk in His calling even if you’re surrounded by chaos? Hear me good: You cannot claim God’s calling without committing to His change!
  • In all my life, I’ve never seen a time like this. But, that also means that I’ll get to see God work in a way I’ve never seen Him work before!
  • God gave you the fortitude to handle whatever 2021 throws at you! Did you give Him your faith?
AMERICA CAN YOU BREATHE?

YOUR MARRIAGE

TODAY’S TRUTH

 Years of Marriage

We live in a culture that gives up easily. When something gets hard, it is easy to just throw in the towel and give up. We see this in Hollywood all the time. They are married for a short time, and then they divorce and start over with someone newer, younger, more fun, different than what they had. They are a dangerous example to follow, and we should never place our hope in them. Instead, we should look to godly couples who have invested time and effort into their marriage.

A godly example of a marriage will teach us how to persevere in times of trouble and will give us hope. They will show us how to love and respect each other. Get involved in a church family and seek out another couple to help mentor you and your spouse. This can only be done, when you are plugged into a church family. However, if you seek advice about your marriage from people who are not plugged into a church or have a relationship with God, then expect that you are not going to get godly advice. For example, there was a girl who needed advice about her marriage, so she went to her family to seek advice. Her family did not know the Lord and so the advice that they gave her was to leave her husband. Then, she sought out the advice of a godly friend, and her friend encouraged her to fight for her marriage. She and her husband sought marriage counseling and fought to save their marriage. Now, they are in the ministry working with other couples.
Your marriage can be a thriving, godly marriage that stands the test of time when you invest in your marriage by seeking out people who love the Lord to help you. Fight for your marriage and watch the Lord do his work.

4 Questions for a Better Church

4 Questions that will Help Our Church Get Better

When you visit a doctor, he/she determines your health by two methods.

First, he/she collects the numbers.

Then, he/she asks you the questions.

  • The first step is quantitative.
  • The second measure is qualitative.

Qualitative insight comes from asking questions.

Here are 23 Qualitative Questions to Help our Church Get Better

Our Weekend Services

OUR church’s most important event is its weekend service. WE have fifty-two of them, and they come with striking regularity. If you’re not careful, you can put these on automatic or maintenance mode.                                                                When you do that, your services start to flatline.

A worship service is supposed to be a corporate encounter with the living God.

We never want to assume we’ve developed the perfect formula for making that happen or take for granted that showing up each week will produce a dynamic experience. NO IT WILL NOT!

Good churches think of their central worship service as their lamb sacrifice to God. They want to present a lamb with as few spots or blemishes as possible. This requires constant evaluation.

Here are four key questions to ask after every service:

  1. What went better than expected?                                                                                                                                               (We want to celebrate these things and do more of them.)

  1. Where did God show up?                                                                                                                                                            (We want to identify those moments and see if we can create more opportunities for God’s power and presence of the Holy Spirit to be involved.)    What did we do to allow him to work the way he did?

       3.  What would we do differently if we repeated this service?                                                                                                                (Some tend to be sensitive types. This is a much nicer question than, “What went wrong?” Or, “Where did we fail?”)

  1. What did we learn that we can use in future services?                                                                                                           (Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.)

When should we evaluate the service?

If you have multiple services, try to find five minutes to evaluate immediately following the first service so that We can make mid-morning improvements before the second one starts. This can be tricky, since a good evaluation includes just about everyone involved in making decisions on the service, and many of those people will need to be out connecting with the congregation. To ensure brevity aka shortness of time, ask everyone who attends to bring notes.

Who should evaluate the service?

The ideal evaluation team is three to seven people, so ask yourself, “Who must be there in order for the evaluation to be effective?” For New Song, our ideal group is the worship leader, tech director, and one other discerning member who was not so busy being involved in the service, but had a chance to view the service. Sometimes I, or another preaching pastor is involved, but more often we’re in the lobby meeting people and leave this to the service specialists.

Mid-morning huddles are good for minor service changes. A better and more thorough evaluation should happen on Tuesday or Wednesday. A few days’ distance brings perspective and diminishes emotional sensitivity. If you have a service planning team, part of this team can get evaluate twenty minutes before the full group assembles.

Once in a while, invite two or three new faces to sit in on this weekly session to help your team with any blind spots.
